Boat Accident and Boat Insurance Claims

Boat insurance Claims

Boat owners’ or watercraft insurance provides coverage for individuals who own and operate a boat or personal watercraft. Insurance may be purchased for sailboats, houseboats and others. Boat owner’s insurance covers the boat and also various equipment needed to operate the boat, such as life vests, and anchors. Boat owners can also purchase additional coverage for electronic equipment, such as depth finders, GPS and radios, as well as equipment commonly associated with boats.  Watercraft coverage  varies according to the type of watercraft being insured. This is because different types of watercrafts carry different risks.  A center console and a pontoon boat are characteristically different types of watercraft. Watercraft insurance does not provide liability coverage for injuries caused by the operation of the boat or watercraft.  Third Party liability insurance covers damage your boat causes to the property of others. It may also cover other damage caused by such other exposures arising out of fuel spills, towing, medical expenses and any rescue operations necessary.

We can assist you in submission of your claim, working with the claims adjusters, and  negotiating a timely and fair settlement.   In the event a settlement cannot be reached, with over 37 years of trial experience, we can file suit on your behalf and litigate your claims in either state or federal court to a final judgment.

*We recently resolved a significant manufacturing defect claim with a well-respected boat manufacturer resulting in complete replacement of the defective boat with a new replacement boat.
